Passion for the product and throughout the process

If you publish newspapers and magazines, you need readers. To have readers, you need customers. For customers to receive the newspaper or magazine in their mailbox, they must subscribe. For the business to be viable, you need a well-functioning subscription system.

Landbrugsmedierne didn't have that anymore. Their existing platform couldn't support the internal need for data segmentation and customers' need for self-service. This unnecessarily pressured customer service and resulted in an unreasonable amount of manual work.

"The decision to change the system was made before I started, but I was involved in the last part, where we received offers from different suppliers and had to choose our new supplier. It was exciting, and it quickly became clear to us who we should continue to collaborate with," says Rikke Feldmann, who is the project manager for the entire subscription area at Landbrugsmedierne, including the development of the subscription system itself, marketing, growth strategies, and new initiatives. She had been employed for a month before the process of changing the system began.

Long-lasting subscription system with Danish support

The criteria for the new subscription system were that it had to "last" for several years. And it had to have Danish support. Additionally, it should only accommodate the media's subscribers and not be many systems in one. As Rikke Feldmann says, "We wanted to deal with specialists. They had to be strong in the concept we were going for."

The choice fell on Iteras, which met the objective requirements and also showed a passion for the system that was challenging to match. "It was clear that Iteras had their heart in it," says Rikke Feldmann and continues: "They were curious about our business, extremely knowledgeable about their own product, and they were interested in developing the system together with us over time. That meant a lot to us."

"The whole process was handled very professionally. We felt that there was full focus on us all the time, and we were held hands through all the challenges that come with such a large project. Rasmus was our project manager from start to finish, and we had a very good collaboration."

Flexible project plan and full focus

When Landbrugsmedierne switched from their old system to Iteras, it took about 5 months from the contract was signed until the system was in operation. The project had to run in parallel with the daily work, so a flexible project plan was necessary, respecting resources and considering the everyday life of a busy organization.

"The whole process was handled very professionally. We felt that there was full focus on us all the time, and we were held hands through all the challenges that come with such a large project. Rasmus was our project manager from start to finish, and we had a very good collaboration," says Rikke Feldmann.

"It has become easy to follow up on campaigns and other initiatives. We can constantly see if we are in the right place on the journey and taking the right actions. And Iteras is still with us."

Saving time in everyday tasks

Now it has become everyday, and Rikke Feldmann and her colleagues experience that many things have changed for the better. Specific daily tasks are solved faster. For example, customer service saves a lot of time because Iteras logs all customer activities, and one can write their own notes, making it easy to follow up on customer inquiries. And because self-service options are strengthened, the number of inquiries has decreased. Customers can simply help themselves.

Iteras has also provided better overview and insight into the business, which, along with a better structure, makes strategic work easier. As Rikke says, "It has become easy to follow up on campaigns and other initiatives. We can constantly see if we are in the right place on the journey and taking the right actions. And Iteras is still with us." She explains that even though the system is a finished product, not specifically developed for agricultural media, their wishes and needs are listened to: "We wanted to have a finished, well-tested, and well-functioning system. But if there's still something we feel is missing or can be optimized, we inform Rasmus. And over time, it can be developed. Also for the benefit of Iteras' other customers."
