A Flexible Digital Magazine Platform

Landbrugsmedierne has long been publishing its magazines digitally as well. However, the platform itself had become outdated and needed to be replaced as part of the larger digital transformation they have initiated. Readers should be offered a more flexible and modern product – so, naturally, the successor had to be able to deliver that. Internally within the organization, flexibility is also a keyword, and new systems must be able to work together seamlessly and make everyday tasks easier. For everyone.

Landbrugsmedierne has chosen Prenly

For a publisher like Landbrugsmedierne, Prenly was the obvious choice when selecting a new platform for their digital magazines. It is a white-label solution, meaning all branding belongs to the individual publisher. Prenly is 'just' the invisible but well-oiled machine behind the scenes. "We have been on a journey to optimize our product for the benefit of our customers. It must be flexible and easy to use," says Rikke Feldmann, responsible for growth strategies and new initiatives, marketing, and the subscription area at Landbrugsmedierne. "Prenly could deliver the latest features our media needs."

Iteras and Prenly speak the same language

In the journey towards digital transformation and a more flexible business, Landbrugsmedierne recently also switched their entire subscription system to the Danish company Iteras. It has eased the daily tasks for employees, and customers find it easier to handle and adjust their subscriptions. But, as Rikke Feldmann mentions, the new systems should ideally be able to communicate with each other. "It turned out that Prenly and Iteras already had some common customers, so they had a ready-made setup with APIs between the systems. There was nothing more to discuss!"

Plug and play solution

Rikke Feldmann and her colleagues were looking for a solution that already exists. It should be plug and play and not necessarily developed specifically for them. Prenly is a large and well-known player in the Swedish market, where they also originate. In fact, 100% of Swedish newspapers use Prenly's platform to reach their readers digitally. And measured in both customers and readers, the platform is the largest in the entire Nordic region.

"We see a clear advantage in having a system that is continually developed, so everyone benefits from new initiatives," says Rikke Feldmann, and Magnus Lundh, co-founder of Prenly, adds: "Our platform is not a static product. It is a tech platform that evolves in line with customer wishes and needs. When we develop new features, it benefits all customers and creates value for everyone. Including end-users."

"We have obtained an incredibly user-friendly solution, which is also good if, for example, you have a disability, because you can adjust the display to suit each reader."

The solution is live

Precisely because Landbrugsmedierne opted for ready-made solutions, the new digital magazine platform is already live. "We have obtained an incredibly user-friendly solution, which is also good if, for example, you have a disability, because you can adjust the display to suit each reader," says a satisfied Rikke Feldmann. "Now we have two system suppliers who always answer the phone when we call – and both have high ambitions to continue developing their solutions. We feel that we have won."
