3 countries in the same system

Quiltemagasinet is a niche hobby magazine published in print in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. The digital version of the magazine wasn't widely used. Suddenly, the publishing house found itself in a situation where their subscription system provider was closing down. They had to decide whether to shut down the magazine themselves or transition to a new system.

Happier customers with self-service

After meetings and discussions with Iteras, they chose to switch systems and continue. And it has been successful! Instead of closing down, they have experienced growth. Instead of dealing with issues from a new system, they have achieved easier administration and happier customers. Marie Eivik, the editor of Quiltemagasinet, says, "The system is pedagogically built and makes it easy to help quickly. Previously, there was no self-service, and we had many inquiries from dissatisfied customers. Now, subscribers can call and be upset, but we can quickly assist them and explain the system, so they end up being happy and satisfied. It's a huge relief."

"We've gone from the Stone Age to having a strong focus on the digitization of both our product and the customer journey."

From the Stone Age to a focus on digitization and the customer journey

From almost closing the magazine, Quiltemagasinet has now become modern. "Wow!" says Marie Eivik, continuing, "We've gone from the Stone Age to having a strong focus on the digitization of both our product and the customer journey." Through Iteras, Quiltemagasinet now also collaborates with Prenly, the platform where the digital version of the magazine is located. The two systems are fully integrated, and subscribers to both print and digital magazines are managed by Iteras. "When we presented the new digital solution in the print magazine, we gained many new subscribers – both purely digital customers and a mix of print and digital. Now, we see opportunities for development and want even more subscribers," says Marie Eivik.

The transition to the new system was a success story

According to Marie Eivik, the transition to Iteras has been quick and easy: "Of course, it has been a process to learn a new system. But Iteras has been so helpful, and everything has gone smoothly. We are very grateful for the quick response and helpfulness we have experienced. I have had the experience of landing in safe hands. A pure success story!"

"It spans across all three Nordic countries, and you seamlessly switch between DK, NO, and SE. Moreover, it is clear and logically structured, so you quickly learn to use it – and quickly reap all the benefits."

Denmark, Norway, and Sweden in the same system

It can quickly become a messy situation if you have to have three different subscription systems because you publish magazines in three different countries. Quiltemagasinet experienced this issue, having problems with customer service across Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. Even though they had an external company handling inquiries, customers felt they didn't get the help they were seeking, primarily because the subscription system was inflexible and outdated. "Because we are a small magazine without many resources, it's important that the system works. And Iteras does that. It spans across all three Nordic countries, and you seamlessly switch between DK, NO, and SE. Moreover, it is clear and logically structured, so you quickly learn to use it – and quickly reap all the benefits," concludes Marie Eivik.
